ANNOUNCEMENTS

Nursery School Teacher Assistant Needed - The Nursery Scool is looking to hire another Assistant for the 2008-09 school year. The Assistant is needed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30am-12 with the possibility of continuing until 3pm for the Lunch Bunch group. The Assistant will work with either the 3yr.old or Pre-K group. A High School Diploma and experience with young children is required. Please call Janet Gilman (215-885-1653) if interested.

Fill the Bus! Please bring in contributions to the Fill the Bus program and place them in the container in the Parish House. Indicate on the sheets which items you have donated before our deadline of August 3.

All Hallows has promised ECS to provide at least 4 book bags for elementary students, 4 for upper school students, and enough of the following supplies both to fill those book bags and to provide additional supplies that can be given to other students during the school year: paper, pens, markers, pencils, crayons, rulers, protractors, erasers, pencil boxes, binders etc.

Aid For Friends - Starting this month we are trying to put away extra meals for the summer months. 2113 client/friends x 7 meals = 14,791 meals needed each week! In the summer (June, July, August) we need 177,492 dinners to feed the shut-ins. Because of vacations, the number of donated meals dwindles at this time. If you are able to prepare a few extra meals each week, it would greatly help us.

Wyncote Church Home is hosting a free Health Fair on Wednesday May 28th from 2-4 pm. Topics will include: hospice care, nutrition, preventing falls, rehabilitation services, and aging with a positive attitude. Free diabetes and blood pressure checks will be available.

The Nursery School would like to invite all Parishioners to their Family Picnic on Tuesday, May 27th. Bring a picnic dinner and a blanket and join us on the front lawn. Desserts will be provided by the staff. The picnic starts at 6 PM.

All Hallows Reads! A new feature of our website is a book list and bookstore page which lists and describes a number of books, including Bibles, commentaries, study guides, and inspirational books for growing in living faith. A small portion of the proceeds from purchases from this page go directly to All Hallows. Take a look!

Hospitality - We need volunteers to help with Coffee Hour – please sign up on the newly posted sheet on the bulletin board in the Parish Hall. Please note that we have several parishioners who have nut/peanut butter allergies. Please keep these allergies in mind when planning for Coffee Hour and other Parish functions.

Flower List - The flowers on the altar each Sunday, decorations for Christmas, Easter Sunday and other Holy Days are not covered by the church’s budget. It is everyone’s gracious giving and support that makes this possible. If you would like to remember a loved one who has died, or if you have an event (wedding anniversary, child’s birth, child’s baptism anniversary) that you would like to honor, please sign up on the list for 2008 Flower Memorials/Thanksgivings posted in the Parish Hall.

The Diocese of Pennsylvania - Visit the Diocese website to find out what is happening in the Dicocese. There is also an online version of Episcopal Life, the newspaper of the Episcopal Church.

More information can be found at the Standing Committee's website.

The Parish House is available for rentals.
