Christians everywhere are united by a common heritage and scripture. The Episcopal Church was formed soon after the United States of America was founded. It retains the traditions of the Church of England, many of which are shared by Roman Catholics and Protestants of other denominations. The Diocese of Pennsylvania is the oldest Diocese in The Episcopal Church. Many of the Founding Fathers were parishioners in this diocese.
